Extending Christmas. This was taken in December 2010 - our first time going to see the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular! It was great. At Onsite (Tucson, AZ) in October 1996 I was encouraged, by my guiding therapist, to do something to reclaim all I'd missed in my childhood (quite a bit in fact)...she went as far as suggesting Rockefeller Center at Christmas time (she was from upstate, NY). By 2010 I was already on safe ground, stable and with a loving partner, so it was time. It was so great that we went back the following two years and enjoyed it every time. Christmas is a time for children. It is always my daily prayer that children are loved, safe and happy! It's a great time to rediscover parts of your own childhood. I always loved having WPIX NY/ CH. 11's Yule Log on. My mother Gail always watched it on Christmas Eve as she finished wrapping presents after we decorated the tree. This song - which is always played near the end of the broadcast, is a favorite of mine. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And remember that it is never too late to have a happy childhood - believe me!
